Britt grew up in a small country town in Northern NSW, surrounded by family who still live there today. It’s this community-focused upbringing that shaped her hardworking, compassionate and down-to-earth approach to life — both as an OT and as a human.
After finishing high school, Britt relocated to the Sunshine Coast and began studying Sports & Exercise Science, planning a future in physiotherapy. But life had other plans — and she soon discovered her true calling in Occupational Therapy. From that moment, she knew she had found the profession that perfectly combines her love of functional independence, creative problem-solving, and meaningful connection with others.
Britt is passionate about supporting individuals across the lifespan — from children and teens through to older adults — to live safely, confidently and independently at home and in their community.
Her key clinical interests include:
✨ Assistive Technology & Equipment Prescription
✨ Neurological & Neurocognitive Conditions
✨ Rehabilitation & Skill Development for Daily Living
✨ Paediatrics & Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice
✨ Aged Care & Functional Independence
✨ Leadership, Education & Mentoring within Allied Health
Currently based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast with her fiancé MIchael and their energetic dog Archie, Britt fills her downtime with beach days, friends, reformer Pilates, and the occasional margarita, coffee, or local Bakery bacon & egg roll.
Britt Additionally travels between Hervey Bay and Glen Innes in NSW monthly.
Laura grew up in New South Wales, spending her early years moving around before her family settled in the small regional town of Camden. It was there that a strong sense of community and family helped shape her warm, approachable, and down-to-earth nature. She met her husband in high school, and together they have three beautiful teenage children.
Before becoming an Occupational Therapist, Laura spent over 15 years working alongside physiotherapists and chiropractors as a Remedial Therapist. Through this experience, she developed a strong foundation in rehabilitation, movement, pain management, and supporting people to regain function and independence. This passion for helping others ultimately led her to pursue Occupational Therapy after relocating to the Sunshine Coast.
Laura brings broad experience supporting adults across community, rehabilitation, occupational rehabilitation, and functional support settings. She has worked with individuals experiencing neurological conditions, chronic pain, physical injuries, psychosocial challenges, functional decline, and complex health presentations, with a strong focus on improving independence, safety, and quality of life.
Laura also has experience supporting children and families with developmental and functional support needs and continues to further develop her skills within paediatric practice. She values a collaborative, family-centred approach and enjoys helping children build confidence and participation in everyday activities.
In addition to her Occupational Therapy experience, Laura has developed a diverse skill set through her work across rehabilitation and health services. She holds:
✨ FIM Accreditation
✨ Mental Health First Aid Training
✨ Health Coaching Qualifications
✨ Drug & Alcohol Assessor Experience
✨ Manual Handling Facilitator Training
✨ CIMT (Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy) Experience
✨ E-Stim training
✨ Experience completing functional and rehabilitation-based assessments
Laura’s background as an Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant has also provided her with extensive experience in functional assessments, return-to-work support, complex case management, injury management, and helping individuals regain confidence and independence following illness or injury.
Known for her calm, practical, and supportive approach, Laura focuses on building genuine therapeutic relationships and delivering personalised supports that are meaningful, realistic, and goal-driven. She is passionate about helping people across the lifespan maximise their independence and continue engaging in the activities that matter most to them.
